We are currently seeking to fill the role of Security Shift Supervisor for a high-profile entertainment complex located in downtown Nashville, Tennessee. This position is full-time position working Monday through Friday with weekends and holidays required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, direct supervision, training and conducting performance evaluations of security personnel with the ability to take on initiatives and make recommendations where applicable. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all respective post orders and relative site protocols are being properly maintained, updated, and relayed to the security officers as well as carrying out required protocol from the client. The candidate will be responsible for conducting on-the-job training of the security officers which includes, but is not limited to, post order reviews, routine responsibility changes, emergency situational responses, and specific client needs as applicable.
In this role, the candidate will be responsible for the numerous supervisory and operational needs of the organization. The security shift manager will be responsible for the oversight of the respective shift’s activity as well as of its assigned security personnel. The candidate will conduct briefings at the start of each shift to inform security personnel of pertinent information regarding site security activity and matters. They will also be responsible for the scheduling of personnel to cover the respective work shifts as well as of possible special event assignment coverage at our client offices.
The candidate will be responsible for leading and/or assisting with situational investigations and/or the reporting of dangerous or otherwise unusual and suspicious activities and circumstances. In addition, they will be responsible for responding to and deciding on what actions should be taken, based on the respective situation, its known facts, and position limitations.
The candidate should have a minimum of five (5) years of managerial experience, be knowledgeable and well versed on security procedures and practices, be skilled in both verbal and written communications, be proficient in situational observations and decision making, and be adept in dealing courteously and professionally with our team, respective clients and local population.
An Associate’s Degree, or its equivalent, is required and prior experience in the corporate security industry and/or military is preferred. Candidate must possess a valid Fire Guard F (07) license as well as Fire Safety training and Emergency Action Plan certification. Experience in scheduling, security operations, and other functions of the security industry are a plus.
