Chairman and Founder
John Silverman founded Silverman Associates in New York City in 1988 conducting complex investigations. In 1995, the business expanded to include global security and risk management services as Silverseal. Today, Silverseal stands at the top of the industry with John Silverman’s mandate for trust, professionalism, honesty and transparency to always guide our service principles.
Chief of Staff
Joseph Fox is responsible for staff development, which includes leadership development training, as well as program development, branding, and marketing at Silverseal. Prior to joining the company, Joseph was Chief of Transit for the NYPD. At Silverseal, Joseph ensures that all activities are aligned with our corporate objectives, our mission statement and core values.
Chief Operating Officer
Michael Griffin designs, aligns, and oversees Silverseal’s operational delivery of creative solutions to our clients. Michael was most recently Managing Director of MJG Global, a comprehensive consulting company specializing in business continuity and emergency preparedness planning, counter terrorism threat and intelligence analysis, risk and vulnerability assessments, and physical security program creation and training. Michael is a graduate of the United States Coast Guard Academy and retired with the rank of Commander.
James Donohue, CPP
Senior Vice President, Administration
James is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) and is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership in support of all Silverseal’s subsidiaries. Throughout his career, James has held almost every position in the private security industry, up to Executive level. James is an active member with the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS) and specializes in creating and implementing corporate policy, planning and managing the utilization of manpower & physical resources, Human Resources, Compliance and budget/financial management.
Vice President, Investigations & Close Protection
Edward coordinates and manages complex investigations and leads efforts to grow and enhance the investigative and close protection divisions of Silverseal. Edward retired as a First Grade Detective from the NYPD after 27 years of service. While with the NYPD he was assigned to the New York Joint Terrorism Task Force, Police Commissioner’s security detail, and the Bronx Detective and Organized Crime Control Bureaus. Edward served in the United States Marine Corps and is a Gulf War Veteran.
Vice President, Finance
Arik Bernstein oversees the finance department at Silverseal. He is responsible for the company’s financials, accounting, FP&A, tax and compliance. Arik had started his career in Public Accounting with EY Israel and has track record of over 10 years’ experience developing and leading finance teams at startups and technology companies such Kaltura, InvisionApp and Checkmarx.
Howard Berry, MSc
Director, EMEA Operations
Howard oversees Silverseal UK & SIS Operations for EMEA, he is former Warrant Officer Class 1 with the British Army. Since retiring from the Military in 2010 Howard worked for almost a decade in Corporate security extensively in the Middle East. He has a Master’s Degree in Strategic Management and Leadership (2018). He has recently taken Silverseal UK through the SIA’s Approved Contractors Scheme (ACS) and the ISO 9001 Accreditation process.
Director, Training & Compliance
Michael Adler, a retired NYPD Lieutenant, oversees the training of all Silverseal security personnel in North America to ensure that they possess comprehensive knowledge of industry and client-based safety and security protocols. Michael’s mandate is to ensure that all security professionals possess not only core competency skills, but also exceptional hospitality, counter-surveillance and counter-terrorism skills.
Director, Quality Assurance & Compliance
Andrew Borwick is responsible for providing global quality assurance within all of Silverseal’s business divisions. Andrew is a former British Army Infantry Officer and uses his experience to drive operational success within the corporate environment. Based in our London office Andrew oversees new global initiatives, ensuring alignment and quality are forefront.
Manager, Human Resources
Deborah is responsible for leading and managing the Global HR program for Silverseal. Deborah has over 20 years in the HR field, specifically in the security industry and at large corporations. Deborah brings a robust history of building HR programs and implementing dynamic recruitment strategies.
Mark Lundy is the Account Manager for Silverseal’s Colorado Region. Mark has 13 years of corporate security overseeing Class A high-rises, relocation and evacuations and specializes in training tenants and security professionals in emergency procedures.
Manager, Americas LSP
Catherine Perez builds and maintains Silverseal’s client relationships across our corporation. Catherine also manages project and performance mandates of all assigned teams and partners throughout North and South America.
